Amazon Basics Vacuum Compression Bags — Large 5-Pack
Price checked 5 Oct 2026: £17.86. £8.93 per count when checked. In stock. Sold by Amazon / dispatched by Amazon (prefer new Amazon offer over Resale).
Short description: Five large vacuum-zip storage bags with an airtight valve and a hand pump. Compress bulky clothes, towels and bedding for under-bed, wardrobe or suitcase storage — or use a vacuum cleaner for faster results.
Why it caught our attention: A classic space-saver with a clear UK use case (winter coats, spare duvets, packing). Hand pump included for travel days without a vacuum.
Best for: Seasonal clothes, bedding and travel packing when cupboard space is tight.
Pros
- 5× Large bags (80 × 60 cm)
- Claims substantial volume reduction when sealed correctly
- Double-zip + valve design
- Hand pump included; vacuum-cleaner compatible
- Clear bags so you can see what’s inside
Cons
- Some bags can slowly re-inflate if the zip/valve isn’t fully sealed
- Hand pump is slower than a vacuum
- Overfilling or sharp items can stress or tear the film
- Not recommended for leather
- Each pack includes a pump
What to check before buying
- Size variant (Large vs Jumbo / combo)
- Prefer Amazon sold/new
- Leave room at the zip; fold flat; only store dry items
